The sand eels are quite powerful and terrifying. I tried to set them up like the tanks of the Yon Empire. The Irain officer was designed after the officers of the Civil War with their large fluffy staches.
This page was laid out with disjointed lines and jagged panels to heighten the tension and fear that the soldiers are feeling. It was actually quite easy and quick to draw this page. I like it.

Computer Tablet (2009) Tony Nguyen
Recently done computer drawing. I had my tablet out so I wanted to draw something funky. I would say this one came out pretty cool. It’s an alien creature that discovered a glowing light. I like drawing things that are all lumpy and warty. Its gives it a little more depth and texture to it.

Computer Mouse (2005) Tony Nguyen
One of the first peices of art that I did when I went to college. Its pretty simple and really easy to replicate. I like to draw this guy as my tag whenever I tag something. Some poeople say it looks like a fish face but its just a crazy grin. Wouldn’t mind seeing this a as a tee-shirt though.

Holy Crap!!! Japan is building a giant Gundam! The thing is huge! Well… its a normal size Gundam…. BUT IT’S REALLY FREAKING HUGE! The geek in me is crapping his pants. If Mobile Suits did exist, it would be pretty damn intimidating to see them. Click the link for more pics.

So during the middle of May I took a fun trip to Anime Boston. If you don’t know what it is, let me fill you in on some of the details. It’s an event that spans three days and takes place in the Hynes Convention center in Boston. The tickets to get in were 30 bucks or something like that, I paid far ahead of schedule so I can’t really remember what it was. Basically all people do is dress up as characters, buy abuncha Japanese merchandise, buy artwork, and go to live shows or panels. Yup that’s about it. It sounds like a gyp and I kinda felt stupid the first day cause it wasn’t really that fun, but the next few days were much better. It basically boils down to the people that you bring, the energy that you bring, and fun that others bring.
So some of the highlights of the convention was actually just being an ass and taking pictures of cool cosplayers and being an ass with these cool cosplayers. FUN! No really, it’s pretty fun to see some of that stuff in person. There were a lot of typical cosplayers like Final fantasy and Naruto but that makes the interesting and unique ones stand out. Some of the other cool things was the mini concert. It was weird at first cause I don’t think many people knew the singers cause I didn’t, so people were just like sitting there. BUT later they started to get into it and it was really fun. I think it was the singers fault for not getting us into it earlier they were just dancing and not playing to the crowd. Oh and yeah I was being an ass there too so it was fun. And then there is the masquerade. Its not like what I thought it was going to be, but it was interesting. Pretty much people that do the cosplay strut their stuff and then have abuncha skits. The Death Note one was pretty funny and IMO the best one. After that I think the last thing was watching some shows and cartoons. It was some ninja anime and it was freaking strange yet hilarious.
Anyways enough talk, you want Pictures!

So my good buddy Dan sent me a link to an Iron Man Armor Costume the other day. I guess some guy spent all of his time creating a Iron Man suit and went on to sell it on ebay. The auction closed at $3,905.23 not including a $650 shipping cost. That is freaking expensive and almost a retarded amount of money to spend on a costume… Yet some how its probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. I want one

Computer Tablet (2008) Tony Nguyen
Quick skecth of some funny looking dude. The stick in his hair makes this simple skecth awesome. This is one of many simple skecthes that did when I got my tablet to work.
I tried cross hatching, it makes it have more depth when put over the general gray tones.

Pencil (2006) Tony Nguyen
This drawing was done before I even started the comic. I was laying out scenes that I wanted to show and portray and this one just fit well with Page 16. This drawing was what helped me get a feel for what the first chapter was all about.

imeem is pretty cool. Its like a free online itunes. The music quality is pretty good and you can customize your own play list. It also has like some of the top songs at the moment which helps when you want to listen to whats hot. It has a very social feel to what music is and you can defiantly find music that you usually don’t find on the radio too.
I need to get an account on that thang and setup some playlists.

Computer Tablet (2007) Tony Nguyen
I made this picture around Halloween. Its just a simple doodle where I was trying out some of the lighting layers and such. I tried to go for a creepy yet cartoony by making the pumkin guy scrawny and stick like. Oh and the the pumpkin guys is smoking a cigar too.
Here it’s old description
Its what creeps in the night. The nightmares that dwell in our minds from the time we were children. Wild and imaginative, They say its all in our minds but when the nightmares become real, when the nightmares begin to creep, Its TOO LATE. BOO!!! Happy Halloween!!!

Flash games are awesome. They’re creative, they’re easy to pick up, quick to learn, there’s plenty of variety, and of course they’re all free. So many of them are really just plain awesome and unique in design. I find flash games to be a great independent environment compared to real games. Many flash games are way better then some of the crap on retail and they’re free.
Here are 5 really good flash games
Red
Knightfall
The Last Stand 2
Dino run
Pandemic 2
