Chapter 1 Page 34

This Comic Page was originally posted January 2007
Looking back at this page I feel that the original pencils looks better then all of the shading. The impact of just the lines and the horror seems to translate better with less depth. Thats not to say I don’t like the shading, It just has a greater impact if there wasn’t.

Anyways the story is progressing nicely and we find out that the sand eels are pretty dangerous as they can spew hot acid clouds. I guess it easily dissipates and the energy and heat fade pretty quickly if you can block it.

Flash Games

Flash games are awesome. They’re creative, they’re easy to pick up, quick to learn, there’s plenty of variety, and of course they’re all free. So many of them are really just plain awesome and unique in design. I find flash games to be a great independent environment compared to real games. Many flash games are way better then some of the crap on retail and they’re free.

Here are 5 really good flash games
Red
Knightfall
The Last Stand 2
Dino run
Pandemic 2

Water Dash

Water Dash

Computer Photo Manipulation (2007) Tony Nguyen

I edited a picture of me jumping through a huge puddle. I added the boat and the explosions to create an epic scene. I had fun messing around with this one.

Bleak Outlook

Bleak Outlook

Computer Mouse (2004) Tony Nguyen

This one is based off of a super hero that I created in City of Heroes. He was a robot that ran off of dark energy and fought to destroy the last remnants this dark energy. He had Both electric powers and shadow powers and was my favorite guy to use. Plus he jumps wicked high. This drawing itself is actually pretty ugly now that I look at it.

iGoogle

I love it, there I said it. Its so damn useful and cool. I gots like everything I need on it. Email, Sports, News, Weather, damn its sweet. I suggest everyone that has a Gmail account use iGoogle. Its just WAY too cool to pass up. You can even change your background. Right now mine is called Papercut. Its a cute and cuddly picture of a asian ox jumping around. Wicked Cool.

China Town Performance Space

Sophomore at WIT (Fall 2006) Tony Nguyen

For this project we had to study a performance artist. The artist that I studied was Joseph Beuys. His core ideas focus on healing which became the main concept of this space. A study of Chinatown Boston, revealed that it was crowded, dirty, smelly, old, and noisy. To be able to heal Chinatown, the space must be clean, inviting, not crowded, and fresh. I used a lotus flower as the symbol of healing. The concept I developed from the lotus was layers of walls. The layers can be used to control spaces, create transparencies, and to change views.

The performance space that was created in Chinatown became a spiral of layers. The layers or walls of the space became an important part of the space and they were twisted to create a parallax view. The layers descend into the ground so a person going through the space sees the layers differently. Space in the center remains open to allow a person to perform. People that walk by the space can catch a glimpse of the performance because the walls allow people to see into the space.

Murder By Crazy

Computer Tablet (2007) Tony Nguyen

I created this while in class. Its just some strange thing I was doodling and it somehow looked funky enough for me to keep.

Death

Computer Mouse (2006) Tony Nguyen

Simple black and white piece that was created by painting in the white. I was still kind of experimenting with photoshop during this time and I think this came out quite nice.

Trickling

With a little bit of free time and some extra devotion I think I can really start to get this site off its feet and running. I hope that this break will help me get into the groove of things and allow me to really work on this website. Since it is my own personal space I really want to start putting up my personal work. I’m going to start trickling in some comic pages and random blog post this entire week.

Cold Winter Morning

Cold Winter Morning

Computer Tablet (2007) Tony Nguyen

I drew this picture around christmas for a secret santa exchange at smackjeeves.com. The picture is pretty calm and cold like a nice brisk winter morning. This concept sparked the idea of Silence & Snowflakes, a short story I’ve been working on.

And yeah this picture reminds me of this winter season so far. Really cold and snowy.
